Items Materializing from Thin Air

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

I answered two email questions recently in Q & A: Law of Attraction & Manifestation, pertaining to my own success with consciously applying the law of attraction and with my own abilities for manifesting. Since answering those questions I’ve had a couple of interesting experiences I’d like to share.

While there doesn’t seem to be anything mystical about finding coins laying on the ground— something a little more intriguing is afoot when they begin actively finding us. I underlined actively because that’s the best way I can describe how two pennies made their presence known to me within the last three weeks.

Q & A: Why do we feel Negative Emotion?

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Question: I suffer from bouts of depression and you said you’ve experienced the same thing. I’ve tried working with my emotions and changing my thought processes to feel better, but I still find myself hitting rock bottom a lot. If we are God source energy, as you say, then why do we feel negative emotion?

Answer: I too occasionally have moments where I can feel myself slipping into that state of mind. I spent many years of habitually riding the rollercoaster of depression. I have to let myself off the hook on this subject, quite often, because I know I didn’t get into a routine of being a depressed person overnight. It took many years of thinking and feeling undesirable thoughts which stripped me of my power. These thoughts eventually developed into consistent responses within my brain, bringing on my states of depression even faster and more consistently.

Self Truths: Part 1

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

I’ve been working on some ideas for making the spiritual and self-help philosophies, contained in this site, easier to navigate. As the total number of blog entries continues to grow and expand it can be a little overwhelming as where to begin.

With that thought in mind, today’s entry marks the first in a series of installments I’m calling “Self Truths”. These posts are designed to concisely highlight and summarize many spiritual/self help tenants that serve as guidelines for my life. These are the ideas, which fuel my desire to continue intentionally expanding, exploring, and sharing information through my writing and podcasting. I’ll be periodically adding additional parts to this series on an ongoing basis.

The entries in these installments can be read singularly or can serve as a hub for visitors. A variety of them will have been mentioned in previous writing or will be mentioned in the future. I’ll be providing adjoining links to the posts which will elaborate further.

Effortless Passionate Creativity

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

I’ve been referencing the importance of following our passion a lot recently. It intrigues me to ponder and explore the underlying spiritual ingredients, which make up fruitful, passionate, creative experiences. Once we can identify them more clearly and how they’re evoked, we can intentionally bring these same ingredients into our lives.

I’ve often read if we want to make specific changes in our life experience or accomplish something, we should look to others who have achieved the same thing. By emulating their methods for acquiring success, and applying them to our own unique experiences we too can accomplish our desires.

If this emulation theory works for action based activities, why can’t we apply the same principles for studying and implementing the energetic inspiration behind successful transformations and creations (no matter what they entail)? It’s this energy that gets the ball rolling in the first place. If we are going to start anywhere, it should be at the source of the inspiration- with the type of energy that propelled the eager action.

Universal Law of Reciprocation

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

In the post, Q & A: Law of Attraction & Manifestation, I mentioned my hobby of weight training. On the surface there may not seem to be a lot of spiritual understanding one can gain from such an endeavor, nonetheless, there’s been a great influence upon me through a connection to that pursuit. This influence came in the form of a man by the name of Bill Phillips and his magazine Muscle Media.

Bill is well known these days because of the phenomenal success of his book, Body for Life; however I’ve been aware of him since my senior year in high school, back in 1993. His magazine was right there with me during my early days of training and as time went on it seemed to mature and morph into a manual for not only strengthening the body, but also the mind.
